At Faux Stained Glass Panes, FSGP to our friends (which we'd like to consider you if you're reading about us!), we are inspired by the styles and forms of stained glass.

Whether printed translucently to simulate the radiance and beauty of traditional stained glass or as vivid, wall-mounted acrylic prints, FSGP is your source for curated, high quality décor in stained glass styles.

The distinctive aesthetic of traditional stained glass work is characterized by carefully composed frameworks of leading that organize tableaus of exquisite glass pieces into colorful and luminous compositions.  This unique and powerful form of expression dates back through much of recorded history.

Dame Professor Rosemary Cramp reconstructed the window depicted above from the oldest pieces of stained glass ever discovered, dating back well over a Millenia to circa 675 AD.

Each glass segment was excavated individually from a site at St Paul’s Church in Jarrow, England where the recreated window remains on display to the public

Through the more than thirteen hundred years since this ancient artwork was originally crafted and installed, stained glass has resonated with artists and admirers.

In part because of their long history threading back so deeply through so many centuries of evolving art and culture, the forms and patterns of stained glass remain as powerful, evocative and relevant today as ever.

Traditionally, stained glass was an art form available only to the most wealthy individuals and institutions. Through modern materials and printing techniques, the beauty of stained glass design is now much more accessible to all its admirers.

It is our pleasure to explore and develop contemporary stained glass inspired art running the gamut from historical to other-worldly, from charming to avant-garde.
